Junior Arto - Brazil
JUNIOR ARTO was born and raised in a small city in countryside of Brazil, later move to São Paulo to study and Curitiba, south of Brazil. In Brazil he grow up listening to grandfather and father performing at home and public parties. He travelled throughout different regions of Brazil researching the wide variety of rhythms, styles and cultures. Along with his Brazilian background, he has been influenced by a variety of styles including classical, rock and roll (The Beatles), and, after moving to Poland, traditional mountains songs, classical, pop and jazz. He earned a degree in product design with an enphasis in constructing musical instruments. Most importantly, he strives to create positive moments, dialogue, and intercultural exchange between people using those instruments as a bridge.
Junior leads band called “Quilombo” he performs and show Brazilian songs. With a second group, he leads and perform songs from around world including: French, Polish, Russian, Brazilian, Portuguese, Italian. He is also a talented dancer and instructor of Brazilian dance styles, teaching at Kontakt Dance Studio in Krakow and leading workshops in Poland abroad. |

Cinar Timur - Turkey
Cinar Timur was born in 1987, Istanbul, Turkey. His interest to music has started with electric guitar and being part of some non-professional rock and metal bands in Istanbul, both as a guitarist and composer.
He studied jazz harmony and composition for a year and as starting his bachelor degree in Music Department of Istanbul Bilgi University where he studied composition, music technology and computer music. During his bachelor degree Istanbul, as a computer musician, he played several concerts with IBULOrk (Istanbul Bilgi University Laptop Orchestra) in some local venues as well as in Vilnius, Lithuania as a part of Druskomanjia Festival and as a part of Adam Rudolph Orchestra on a popular pedestrian bridge in Istanbul. |
After his one-semester Erasmus experience in Academy o Music in Krakow where he studied with prof. Wojciech Widlak, he started his pre-master degree in the same academy in 2011, studying composition with prof. hab Maciej Jablonski. Soon after, he continued his master degree education with prof. Jozef Rychlik as well as studying computer music with prof. Marek Choloniewski.
Now, he is a PhD student of composition in the same academy, continuing his study with prof. Jozef Rychlik.
During his stay in Krakow as student, Cinar has participated numerous concerts in several different styles of music.
As a composer and computer musician: Orkiestra ElektroNova organized by prof. Marek Choloniewski; numerous concerts in Academy of Music in Krakow and as well as numerous concerts abroad.
As a performer of some traditional Turkish and Greek plucked and wind instruments such as lavta, ud, baglama, cura, duduk, ney, kaval: concerts within several religious events in Galicja Muzeum within the organization of Rabbi Tanya Segal; numerous Turkish Folk Music concerts in Krakow, Warszawa and Wroclaw; several Pascha nights in Franciszkanski Church and membership as a performer and arranger in Projekt Kameleon.

Christina Eshak - Syria
CHRISTINA ESHAK , born and raised in Syria, is an opera singer and Arabic/English teacher now living in Krakow, Poland. She studied English Literature at Teshreen University in Latakia, Syria, as well as classical singing at the High Institute of Music in Damascus. She is currently pursuing her masters in opera and acting at the Academy of Music in Krakow.
She has performed in multiple professional productions including The Damascus Opera House’s productions of Le Nozze di Figaro (Barbarina), Oliver Twist (Bet) and Mozart’s Requiem (Soprano soloist). She performed regularly with the Syrian National Symphony Orchestra and Choir in productions including: Stabat Mater and Carmina Burana. She also worked in film dubbing and recorded many cartoon songs, creating the Arabic versions of children’s television shows for Spacetoon, the Disney Channel, and Cartoon Network. |
She has supplemented her education with workshops with many global musicians and actors from around the world including Syria, Poland, Romania, Austria, Canada (Marc Anion Dargon) and Italy (Marco Vetali). Aside from her studies, Christina teaches Arabic and English and performs in the musical group “Project Kameleon”.

Kapela Krystian Pisowicza - Poland
Kapela Krystian Pisowicza gra polską muzykę tradycyjną oraz własne utwory taneczne oparte na tradycyjnych wzorcach kompozycyjnych. Członkowie Kapeli prowadzą warsztaty z polskich tańców tradycyjnych oraz polskich pieśni. Członkowie Kapeli brali udział w licznych projektach mających na celu promocję tradycyjnej polskiej kultury muzycznej i tanecznej; grywają na weselach i potańcówkach oraz prowadzą własne badania terenowe. Krystian Pisowicz – lider zespołu, skrzypek i kompozytor – jest laureatem głównej nagrody Złote Basy 2015 otrzymanej w konkursie kapel ludowych w Maciejowicach, którą otrzymał grając w duecie ze swoim nauczycielem skrzypiec Janem Kmitą. |
Sonja Larson - United States
SONJA LARSON grew up on a farm in southwestern Minnesota, USA and graduated from Viterbo University in 2014 with a degree in Music Performance: Voice. While at university, she participated in the Concert Choir, the A Capella/Jazz Choir, the St. Francis Chapel Choir, and the Platinum Edition Show Choir. She also appeared in musicals, operas, and solo recitals, and participated in acting and dance classes, and participated and performed in the Canta in Italia intensive opera workshop in Italy. In 2015, she was awarded the prestigious Fulbright scholarship for musicological research in Krakow, Poland. While on her Fulbright year, she created projects bringing together youth from all over the world through music. These projects included the the United International Virtual Choir (featured in her talk on TEDxKazimierz), and Peace in Motion, a multicultural music workshop in Krakow, Poland. She currently resides in Krakow, where she folk dances, writes poetry, creates photography, and teaches English. She serves as the media/music manager for the Polish branch of the Handicapped Children's Pilgrimage Trust, the cantor/assistant music director in the St. Giles International Congregation in Krakow, and continues to facilitate multicultural music projects.
